In particular, we look back on successful and fruitful meetings.
We rejoice the return of the Algemeiner Deutscher Rottweiler Klub (ADRK) in the IFR and the mutually expressed desire for a constructive cooperation, especially now that the need for a world wide cooperation towards homogeneity in breeding strategies was probably never felt more acutely than today.
At both the Meeting of Breed Wardens and the Meeting of IFR-Delegates, the goals of the IFR and the instruments at its disposal were again very clearly and unanimously defined and I rejoice the world wide commitment to support the strategies that were discussed at these Meetings and that are now to be further developed and followed up.
All Rottweiler Friends may be assured that the breeding and keeping of the Rottweiler, defined as a strong utility breed, stood central in all these discussions and decisions, just as was the case for the breed's health and social nature.
This definition of the Rottweiler as a working dog and therefore the need to judge his characteristics in the context of his original utility was also the central idea of the Meeting of Judges, a meeting that allowed an usefull exchange of experiences and knowledge amongst specialist judges from all over the world.
All these Meetings were important and fruitful and they explicitly mandated the newly elected Board to finaly lead the IFR towards its emancipation as an active and effective federation of Rottweilerclubs.
More about all this will shortly be published on the IFR-website and/or in the magazine "The Rottweiler in the World".
On behalf of the Board, I thank all Delegates for their commitment and in general all Rottweiler Friends for their presence and participation to the event.
